The Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union
(IAAEU) and the Chair of International Economic Policy at Trier University, Germany will host a Workshop on International Trade and Labour Markets (Nov 25-26, 2016) at Trier University.

Deadline for the submission of complete papers is August 31, 2016. Please send your

CfP: 7th Annual Research Meeting on Economic Geography and International Trade (EGIT)

Researchers who are specialized in regional/urban economics and international trade come
together in order to share their ideas and comment on each other’s research papers. The
meeting encourages interaction and discussion between the researchers, so that new ideas
and joint projects can be initiated. Any theoretical or empirical paper discussing the topics of
economic geography or international trade is welcomed. This includes topics in urban
economics, regional economics, new economic geography, international trade, foreign direct
investment, and the economics of multinational firms.

Location: Frankfurt am Main
Start: Friday, February 19, 2016, early afternoon
End: Saturday, February 20, 2016, after lunch
No conference fee. Participants have to cover their own travel and accommodation costs.

Call for Papers: PhD Workshop – Recent Developments in Macroeconometrics

The Department of Economics at the University of Göttingen is hosting a PhD workshop in macroeconometrics on April 15 and 16, 2016. The workshop is primarily intended for PhD students and young post docs working in the area of macroeconometrics or empirical macroeconomics. The aim of the workshop is to bring together doctoral students and researchers who work on macroeconomic topics using advanced econometrics. The workshop gives doctoral students the opportunity to present their research in a conference setting and to get feedback from senior economists.

Theoretical econometric as well as applied papers using recent time series or panel data techniques are welcome. Completed manuscripts or extended abstracts can be submitted via email to tino[dot]berger[at]wiwi[dot]uni-­goettingen.de. Submissions must be received on or before January 31, 2016.

5th lunch time to Tuesday, October 6th late afternoon. There is no registration or participation
fee, and accommodation is free for presenters.
